South Africa at a Glance
South Africa is blessed with the most favourable climate in the world. It is mild throughout the year.
Our winter starts in June and last for 3 months. During winter daytime coastal temperatures are around 21 degrees C with temperatures dropping to between about 7 and 14 at night. Inland daytime temperatures average around 18 degrees and at night in Johannesburg it can get quite nippy with early morning temperatures around 2 to 3 degrees.
In the Cape rain can be expected during the winter months (it rains very little in summer) while in Johannesburg it is clear cloudless sunny skies for most of the winter and in summer we are treated to amazing thunderstorms. The highest temperatures are experienced in the north western, arid parts of the country. It might surprise you to know that Johannesburg is almost 6,000 ft above sea level which means it is rarely too hot or humid.

The image displayed here shows a static miniature version of a dynamic map we created in Google Earth showing the exact geographic location of two important golf courses in the Knysna region of South Africa. This is the kind of power that Google Earth maps provide for users. The maps show real locations and leaves the potential visitor in little doubt as to what wonders to expect in South Africa.
Once the map is opened in Google Earth the map can be enlarged, rotated, tilted and zoomed into in order to give fascinating aerial views of the landscape and landmarks from all angles.
The Google Earth maps I’ve created show locations of many of the top holiday features to suit most people. These maps contain place markers and in many instances clicking on a place marker will provide summarised information relating to that particular map point.
